Nia White Belt Training

About the Nia White Belt
The Nia White Belt Training is the first level of a five-belt training series that presents a body-centered approach to health, wellness and fitness. If you have a desire to share Nia in a professional capacity, the White Belt Training is your entryway into teaching. Those who choose to pursue the path of personal enrichment use this training as a starting point for becoming a master student.
Over the course of one week, you will comprehensively explore physical sensation through five core-competency areas of study including movement, music, anatomy, science and philosophy. This joyful journey into the self is instrumental in helping you develop body knowing by learning to listen, interpret and consciously respond to the information your body communicates to you via sensation. Enroll in an upcoming training today, and positively shape the way you feel, look, think and live.
Upon graduation, you are eligible to become a livelihood member. As a livelihood member, you obtain a teaching license (whether you decide to use it or not) and have exclusive access to an in-depth continuing education program, an online forum, and special benefits and privileges. You may enroll in the Green Belt Training - which is dedicated to the craft of teaching - at any time after completing your White Belt Training. You may also enroll in the next level of training, Blue Belt Training.
Meet the Trainers
I am a nationally certified 1st Degree Nia Black-Belt teacher and a Nia White Belt and Nia FreeDanceTrainer. In addition I am certified in Nia Moving to Heal and Nia 5 Stages of Healing. I offer Nia classes, Nia White Belt and Nia FreeDance trainings, and Nia workshops. I have 25 years of Nia Technique experience and bring creativity, laughter, compassion and enthusiasm to my Nia work. My mission is to share the joy of Nia with everyBody and to help others reclaim their body's natural way of moving and live a life of pleasure. As a teacher of Nia, joy of movement and truly caring for people are my motivations and I believe we are as young as our spirit allows us to be. It is through an open mind and a true connection to joy that we can free, strengthen and heal our body, mind and spirit. Nia has awakened my inner child, and has made me feel timeless, ageless and weightless. I now stay fit by dancing, laughing, skipping and playing on the floor. I want everyBody to feel love, joy and pleasure in their body, and live into their potential!
I am a Sacred Warrior, a teacher and healer to all people. The most precious gift I have received from Nia is self-love, which has manifested into my life purpose to awaken the human healing potential. I fulfill this purpose every time I step into a Nia class, workshop and training.
I teach in movement studios, fitness clubs, corporations, with breast cancer survivors, and I volunteer at Haven of Hope, a place of hope and new beginnings in San Antonio for those experiencing homelessness. I have been a guest Nia and Yoga instructor at Lake Austin Spa Resort for 15 years, and a guest staff movement instructor at Omega Institute. I offer workshops, classes and presentations throughout the US and Mexico, and am experienced with working with individual, small or large special groups.
I am also a Melt Method Hand and Foot Instructor, Journey Dance Facilitator, Yoga Teacher certified in the 100 hour YogaFit Warriors Program, Laughter Yoga Leader, Mindful Change Coach, doTerra Independent Product Consultant, and a Certified Project Management Professional.
