Nia's 52 movements have been distilled through 35 years of somatic exploration to represent the best in holistic body-mind-emotion-spirit conditioning. Nia's movements originate from diverse modalities spanning dance, martial art, and therapeutic practices.

Practiced in isolation and integrated with systemic movement, Nia 52 Moves are proven to physically condition the body and enhance movement skill. Regularly practiced, they enhance propioception and perceptual motor skills represented in flexibility, mobility, agility, stability and strength.

This training is ideal for those wanting to learn more about how to condition their body and develop movement skill. Beginner to advanced movers will find value in the 2-day movement intensive.

The focus of the 2-day training is the art of conditioning applied to the body's base, core and upper extremities.

How to coach yourself to move better and feel better is the basis of the program in terms of exercise science. Through the process of learning how to isolate each move using three distinct levels of range of motion in your joints you will learn how to achieve 4 types of conditioning.

Anyone may enroll - Open to all levels + experience. 

MOVE IT Teacher Training 

A highlight of the training is experiencing a preview of Nia's exciting interval cardio-dance fitness class called Move IT*. Move IT* expands upon the 52 Moves training and takes it to a whole new level. Move IT Self-Guided Teacher Training is a self-paced program that builds on the craft of Nia 52 Moves and 13 White Belt Principles. The recommended time to complete the course is 12 weeks. The intent of the program is for you to learn, embody, and ultimately teach Move IT classes.

Payment Policy

All trainings will be confirmed 30 days prior to the event start date. Nia Technique recommends all customers wait to purchase any travel or accommodations until the event has been confirmed. 

The fee for the training is split into two payments, a Registration Fee and an Instruction Fee. To reserve your spot in a training, you must pay a Registration Fee directly to Nia Technique, Inc. (via NiaNow's online registration system). The Trainer of your event will invoice you for the Instruction Fee and any applicable tax 30 days prior to the training start date. Based on the location of the event, the Trainer may invoice you in local currency at the current exchange rate with the USD.

Cancellation + Transfer Policy

The course fee is non-refundable. Should you cancel your registration more than 30 days prior to the training start date, the full amount of your fee will be credited to your Nia account. Should you cancel your registration less than 30 days prior to the training start date, you will forfeit your registration fee. All trainings will be confirmed 30 days prior to the event start date. Nia Technique recommends all customers wait to purchase any travel or accommodations until the event has been confirmed. If this event is cancelled by Nia Technique, you will receive a full refund.

Nia 52 Moves Training is a 2-day somatic experience devoted to learning how to achieve holistic conditioning using Nia 52 Moves, which results in the ability to teach 2 levels of the Nia Move I.T. class – beginner (learning the moves) and advanced (knowing the moves). The course combines lecture with experiential practice focusing on various movement techniques and coaching sessions to give each participant personalized support to achieve their fitness goals.

Applied learning is honed during Move I.T. 60-minute workouts where you practice conscious personal training to take your fitness to the next level. Move I.T. workouts take cardio-dance to a new edge of holistic conditioning based on the science of interval training using high-energy and motivating music.

Throughout the training you will get to test your skill and knowledge on the mat under the expert guidance of your trainer coaches. On the mat refers translating cognitive information through the body.
