Nia is more than an exercise routine for the body – it is a holistic fitness and lifestyle practice that touches each person in a unique way. Practicing Nia has helped me reach a harmonious balance in my life. I've found the tools to stay healthy in body, mind, emotions and spirit. I love the flow and gentle movements of Nia that calm and center my body and mind. And I love energizing those same moves in a kick-ass workout that leaves me sweating and smiling, all while maintaining a yoga-like mindfulness. This mindful connection is the way of the ‘Sacred Athlete.’ This is what drew me to study the Nia Belt Intensives and to share Nia with others as a teacher.
