Notes About This Event

Has Nia (or movement) helped you ground, center, become more present, gain strength and flexibility both mentally and physically? Do you want to learn more about how to use Nia to resource yourself during challenging times and create that “in class experience” out in the world? Erika Ruber, LCSW, Nia Black Belt has co-created a curriculum to do just that. Integrating Nia movement and principles with Sensorimotor Psychotherapy - a body
centered trauma treatment, this 3 hour event will give you an overview of how Nia can help you heal and recover from trauma which is defined as any event in which your sense of safety, security, or self has been disrupted. This event includes educational information, a Nia class experience, and guided group discussion to allow you to integrate the experience. There is no direct sharing of past
trauma. Instead we focus on the present to heal the past in a safe and supportive environment to step into a fuller version of you! No Nia experience necessary.
Participation in this event provides you a $25 discount to Erika’s 8-week group, “Surviving to Thriving Group - a Nia-based Trauma Recovery Group” starting this spring.

This event will be registered through a third party service. A new page will open to sign in or register.
