Nia Testimonial: Terese Schoen Taggart, Nia Teacher
Twenty-four years ago, I was a dancer that suffered a severe spinal cord injury. I was told I'd never do more than walk again. Conventional practices made things worse; I had chronic migraines, fibromyalgia, anxiety, etc. Seeking holistic practices gave me help and hope. Three years ago, one Nia class became a pivotal moment in my life. I went from pain-full to pain-less to 'what pain?' Nia heals.
I am now a Nia Blue Belt teacher. Teaching Nia and being a voice for alternative ways to heal is what I do. I constantly educate myself and am now a licensed bio-feedback specialist and spiritual life coach. I started my own business, Nueva Vita. I write for the health section of DStripped magazine and will soon have a radio show with Voice America.

Why do you practice and/or teach Nia?
To inspire others, and to let them know that they no longer have to accept living life in pain. I am loving dancing through life. I smile, breathe, shake, shimmy and jive with my class. I teach people from teenagers to 92-year-olds. We dance through life together.
