I literally fell in love with Nia during my first class in 2008. At first I was nervous to try something new, but within the first 2 minutes of class something ignited deep within me and I suddenly knew that I was home. Nia has been my healing and inspiring friend ever since.
Nia reminds me daily of body awareness and encourages me slow down and sense what it truly feels like to be alive. It has taught me to carry healthy movement choices into each day and I often find myself turning every day motions into a dance. Nia is one of my all-time Joys, and I continue to learn and fill myself up with it daily.
In my classes, you can expect to find the Joy of Movement. I enjoy guiding students to self-discovery and empowerment through movement, stillness, and laughter. My students are encouraged to simply be themselves, knowing that every experience can be adapted to their own ability. I invite you to show up with an open heart and an open mind and dance YOUR dance with me.
