Kelly is passionate about living her life purpose: being a channel of healing, love, and transformation in this world. Early on in her study of dance and movement, she discovered the compelling dynamic of magic that is created when movement and music are integrated. In that space, there is no separation between the dancer and the music; rather, they live within each other. Her dedicated practice of African-inspired dance, belly dance, Sufi techniques, tribal-trance, martial arts, tai chi, and yoga, and her devoted study of healing arts such as Reiki, chakra healing and balancing, and meditation, eventually brought her home to Nia – a natural extension of Kelly’s integrative path of mind*body*spirit healing and empowerment.
In 2004, she stepped in as a certified Nia instructor, enabling her to manifest her dedication to creating positive change individually and collectively by enlivening the body, mind, emotions, and spirit. As a Black Belt Nia Instructor, Kelly promotes the healing and empowerment of individuals by utilizing her skills and knowledge in the healing arts and by encouraging emotional expression and personal growth through dance, writing, and music. Kelly creates a non-judgmental atmosphere in which to encourage, inspire, and support each individual’s pursuit of integrative mind*body*spirit awakening, healing, and empowerment. It is her intention to share Nia’s gifts, to be a catalyst of positive change for others, and to heal the mind*body*spirit through movement and body awareness.
In Sacramento, Kelly dances through life with her husband and their 2 daughters, who keep both of them grounded in wonder and joy.
