As a child, I was always active - rough and tumble play, progressing eagerly into any sport or game. I spent my twenties dancing with my girlfriends in the night clubs. What a rush! Then life continued on and one day I asked myself, " Where has the dancing gone?"
I exclaimed, "I want the dancing back!"
I have always been interested in Fitness and Movement - studying courses the past few years in Anatomy, Exercise Physiology, Weight Training and Group Fitness. Wanting to work in fitness, but just not able to find my fitness teaching 'niche', until I discovered "Nia Technique". A friend asked me to come to her Nia class, and I was a bit apprehensive to be barefoot; but I took the plunge and had a fantastic time - dancing! It came back! I found my Joy again and I haven't looked back. Since my White Belt training with Martha Randall, Green Belt training with Carlos AyaRosas and Blue Belt with Winalee Zeeb and Caroline Kohles, my journey is continuing with excellence. Onward and upward....dancing through life!
I love the variety and combination of movement energies; the choreography is exciting and invigorating. I am thrilled to receive and allow dynamic, easy energy to flow in my classes through the Nia moves.
