I have been dancing Nia since 2010 and love it with a passion. When I dance Nia I experience joy and freedom in my heart, in my body and in my spirit. Finding Nia is changing my life.
In September 2012 I took White Belt with Helen Terry.
After leaving high school I began training as a physical education teacher in Roehampton, London. Although I decided not to complete the course, I chose one of the modules - yoga - and taught classes in London for a while. My love of movement and exercise led me to practice Iyengar Yoga, Pilates, Alexander Technique, Tai Chi and Chi Gung, as well as various dance forms. Now that I have found Nia, a passion has been ignited which only grows the more I dance.
By profession, I am an event organiser/manager and work around the globe on events for corporate and not-for-profit organisations. I am hoping to combine this skill with Nia, so that in addition to teaching Nia I can also host Nia events large and small.
I have combined my career with raising a family and as a member of a large home education network in the UK, I home educated two of my four children. Now that my children are grown, the youngest is just 18 years; I am reinventing myself and going with my passion to build a healthy and joy filled livelihood with Nia.
