My Way is the Nia Way

I cannot always put my finger on exactly what it is that makes me smile in a Nia class. But as soon as I begin to move, as a teacher or a student, something inside of me starts to flow, and I feel the presence of “We” inside of “Me”. The moment is felt in community and when I practice on my own.

This is one of the beautiful things about the Nia Experience, the allowance to infuse everything with a healthy dose of “My Way” and still share in community. In every class, the teacher will invite you to connect to a “focus” and set an “intention”. The choreography and simple steps follow a unique design pattern that allows your nervous system to self-organize. The music allows for your personal interpretation of the given steps. In Nia, the sensation of doing it “My Way” is called “The Body’s Way”. This respects where you are in the moment and gives you a powerful tool to adapt to the movement and let your body guide you towards pleasure.

There are so many ways to experience Nia, just like there are so many ways to describe it. For myself, as a healer and kinesiologist, I apply my experience to infuse self-love, self-healing and self-mastery into my interactions and classes. All the books on the market that speak about self-healing can be found in this one practice, Nia.

Embark on your personal Nia journey! The benefit goes beyond the physical. Through a heightened and expanded sense of awareness, rooted in sensing life-force, YOU can experience Joy in everything. Let’s Share the Joy!
