Nia Blue Belt Training
April 18, 2014 Kawai Purapura Wellpark in Auckland , NZ
About the Nia Blue Belt
Blue Belt, the second level of Nia education, explores how to create healthy relationships through body-centered communication. This intensive introduces the next set of 13 Nia principles, which focus on the mental, emotional and spiritual realms of the body. While the White Belt curriculum focuses entirely on awareness of physical sensation, Blue Belt applies these skills to explore internal sensations as perceived through – but distinct from – physical sensations in the body.
Blue Belt Principle #1: The Joy of Being in Relationship, integrates the sensation of Joy with the awareness that Joy is something outside the self, which we can invite into our physical experience. As a result, we begin to deepen our ability to listen with clarity and sustain awareness of details outside our body.

Just 20 minutes north of Auckland City, 2 minutes off the Northern Motorway is Kawai Purapura Wellpark North Shore Retreat Centre. Nestled in the sea of development which is Albany there is a jewel - Kawai Purapura - a special haven which was once part of a wider, greater forest. It is now the sole remaining large tract of mature bush land within the surrounding area, a magical environment amongst mature trees, with native birds and gently flowing streams to add to the tranquility and sense of being at one with nature.
During your stay at Kawai Purapura you may find some time to enjoy the non-chlorinated, 25 metre Swimming Pool warmed by a solar system, or the adjacent cedar Hot Tub. You will also find a large sacred Glade for times of reflection or you may follow one of the many paths through the property on a Bush Walk connecting to the adjacent council reserve land.
