About the Nia White Belt
The Nia White Belt Training is the first level of a five-belt training series that presents a body-centered approach to health, wellness and fitness. If you have a desire to share Nia in a professional capacity, the White Belt Training is your entryway into teaching. Those who choose to pursue the path of personal enrichment use this training as a starting point for becoming a master student.
Over the course of one week, you will comprehensively explore physical sensation through five core-competency areas of study including movement, music, anatomy, science and philosophy. This joyful journey into the self is instrumental in helping you develop body knowing by learning to listen, interpret and consciously respond to the information your body communicates to you via sensation. Enroll in an upcoming training today, and positively shape the way you feel, look, think and live.
Upon graduation, you are eligible to become a livelihood member. As a livelihood member, you obtain a teaching license (whether you decide to use it or not) and have exclusive access to an in-depth continuing education program, an online forum, and special benefits and privileges. You may enroll in the Green Belt Training - which is dedicated to the craft of teaching - at any time after completing your White Belt Training. You may also enroll in the next level of training, Blue Belt Training.
Meet the Trainer
Stephaney is available for classes and workshops; she is currently on sabbatical from Nia Trainings.
Through my years of body immersion and studying Nia my enthusiasm and curiousity has always included many movement and philosophical modalities including: Chakras, Kundalini Yoga, Continuum and Breema. Currently I am most enticed by pure organic body movement; utilizing the form and weaving it into freedom, understanding routine and guiding it into ritual.
I am also passionate about senses and living an aromatic life. Most recently I have dived deeply into the path of botanicals and scent; creating both a holistic skin care line, and luscious botanical fragrances As Nia teachers, we know the skin is the largest organ of the body, so I find it a natural fascination that learning to love the body we are in, involves a deeper awareness of the sensation and comfort of skin. This allows us to create a certain type of radiance in our movement, our skin and our lives. Our sense of smell is one of our most profound treasures for triggering memories in the mind, emotions in the heart, and a deeper connection to spirit. Through organic botanicals, and connecting deeper to the nature that surrounds me, I am discovering a deepening of my own organic movement. Nia has been my doorway into this path and I am grateful for its gift of allowing me to build freedom from its container of form. As my way to stay connected to you and move with you while I continue on sabbatical, I will soon be offering additional workshops embracing this organic discovery. - With love, Stephaney
Testimonials: Stephaney Robinson is clearly the teacher I was meant to study and dance with. A vibrant, warm woman, Stephaney creates a welcoming community space, one in which laughter, creativity, and contemplation are at home. She walks a path that is deeply rooted in the earth and highly spiritual as well. And she brings a creative spirit to movement that I ~ and her other students ~ greatly appreciate. — Rene Caputo North Carolina
“Dancing with Stephaney is like venturing into a sensory bath that is part tribal, part heady reflectionist, and part git-down hootchy kooch. She inspires a vivid meditation that rocks the mind, electrifies the body and tickles the soul.” — Willi Jones, Performer, New York, New York.
