About the Nia White Belt

The Nia White Belt Training is the first level of a five-belt training series that presents a body-centered approach to health, wellness and fitness. If you have a desire to share Nia in a professional capacity, the White Belt Training is your entryway into teaching. The Nia White Belt Training is the first level of a five-belt training series that presents a body-centered approach to health, wellness and fitness. If you have a desire to share Nia in a professional capacity, the White Belt Training is your entryway into teaching. Those who choose to pursue the path of personal enrichment use this training as a starting point for becoming a master student.

Over the course of one week, you will comprehensively explore physical sensation through five core-competency areas of study including movement, music, anatomy, science and philosophy. This joyful journey into the self is instrumental in helping you develop body knowing by learning to listen, interpret and consciously respond to the information your body communicates to you via sensation. Enroll in an upcoming training today, and positively shape the way you feel, look, think and live.

Upon graduation, you are eligible to become a member. As a member, you obtain a teaching license (whether you decide to use it or not) and have exclusive access to an in-depth continuing education program, an online forum, and special benefits and privileges. You may enroll in the Green Belt Training - which is dedicated to the craft of teaching - at any time after completing your White Belt Training. You may also enroll in the next level of training, Blue Belt Training.

Sophie Marsh

Australia's first Black Belt teacher and only Nia White Belt Trainer, Sophie has dedicated nearly 2 decades to educating and inspiring people to move, heal and transform through Nia, while collaboratively building a vibrant Nia Australia community. Her passion and Joy are contagious as she connects with people of all ages and walks of life, guiding them to nurture, trust and understand their innate body wisdom as a path to self-love. She shares Nia as both a life-enriching practice and as

She shares Nia as both a life-enriching practice and as movement medicine for body, mind, spirit and heart.

To her classes, playshops and trainings Sophie weaves knowledge and experience from self-mastery techniques, somatic psychotherapy, energy healing, conscious sexuality and sacred feminine practices. Her contribution to Nia Technique International as a Trainer has been recognised with awards in 2013 and 2014.

Classes for specialised populations, community organistions and corporate professional development: 
Sophie brings over a decade of experience in adapting Nia as "Joy Therapy" for a wide variety of ages, including people with specific physical and mental health needs and those facing cultural challenges.  She has presented Nia demos, classes and playshops at many events and festivals, as well as being an invited speaker and professional development presenter at conferences and in corporate settings.

Location: Tugun is a beach-side suburb on the southern end of the Gold Coast in Queensland.  The closest airports are Gold Coast (OOL) 4 km south and Brisbane (BNE) 96 km north. Can "I" Do This? Nia is adaptable for all ages, fitness levels, and experience levels. In Nia, we highly encourage and celebrate uniqueness and personal empowerment. Go ahead - do it your way - and make the week the perfect intensity for you. No experience is necessary. I invite you to join us for an amazing week of integrated Nia education, body bliss, and self-discovery.

Why sign up sooner rather than later?
You can sign up anytime before the training, subject to availability.  Early registration ensures your place and gives you access to online pre-training. Once you register and pay your deposit, you'll receive a welcome link with answers to Frequently Asked Questions, a sample schedule and as videos to Learn The 52 Moves and take a Nia class online anytime!

Schedule 
Monday 1:30-6:30 pm. Tuesday: 8:30am - 6pm. Wednesday: 7:30am - 5:30pm. Thursday + Friday: 11am - 7pm. Saturday: 7:30 am - 5:30pm. Sunday 7:30am - 4pm.

On the full days we have a 85-min. lunch break to refuel and recharge. The Intensive consists of ~50 hours of somatic education, incorporating a beautiful blend of movement and interactive teachings. A detailed schedule will be provided the first afternoon.

To Register - the total cost of the training is US$1599
Part 1: Select the red "register" button to submit a US$799.50 deposit by credit card to Nia HQ. This secures your place in the training.

Part 2: Finalise registration by paying the remaining balance due (US$799.50 converts to approx AU$1050) to Sophie directly by 02 June 2018.  

Pay the balance online to CBA account BSB 064-178 Acct 1037 2619 for Sophie Marsh adding your name as a reference OR contact Sophie directly for credit card payments.

For graduates desiring a "Full Retake" - contact nia@nianow.com and ask to be added to the training as a retake. This means committing to all 6.5 days of the White Belt. Registration fee is USD99.  The instruction fee of USD400 is paid directly to the Trainer prior to the training date.

For graduates desiring to "Audit" - After 31 May, contact Taryn taryn111@hotmail.com and request your sessions.  Teacher Members receive 1 day (3 sessions) for Free.  Non-teacher Members cost is $75 per session.
