Notes About This Event

Join us for Yom Kippur at Ashland's Jewish Renewal synagogue, Havurah Shir Hadash and the ninth annual Nia Avoda service with Havurah member and Nia Training Faculty Rachael Resch.

Yom Kippur services at The Havurah are remarkable and deep.  The Havurah is committed to diversity.  All spiritual paths are welcome.

The Avoda service is the portion of Yom KIppur where the high priest traditionally entered the Holy of Holies.  On behalf of all beings, we will collectively remember the ancient Temple of Jerusalem through the temple of the body.  We will enter into the body of the Mystery and as a community sound the Name of the Holy so that all life can sprout again.

Yom Kippur Services:

  • Friday, September 13 :  7:00 pm  ($36 suggested donation)
  • Saturday, September 14:
          •  MORNING:  10:00 am-1:00 pm  ($18 suggested donation for the morning)
          •  AFTERNOON 3:30-7:00 pm*
($18 suggested donation for the afternoon)
                                  * Nia Avodah Service 5:00-6:00 pm

It's ideal to come for the entire Yom Kippur service.  You are welcome, however, to come only for the Nia portion at 5:00 pm.  In that case, please arrive early so you can tune into the collective prayer intent that has been growing throughout the day.

This event will be registered through a third party service. A new page will open to sign in or register.
