Notes About This Event
Somers Collins & Regeneration Fitness offer an Introductory Nia Technique class experience complete with Q & A Sunday, July 13th
When was the last time you laughed aloud in an exercise class? When was the last time a dance class engaged your mind as well as your body in joyful movement?
This is the experience of Nia. A dynamic cardiovascular workout that stimulates your body, engages your mind and recharges your spirit. The first fusion fitness technique Nia is an energizing class suitable for participants of all shapes, sizes and levels of ability. Whether you want to get moving or are an avid fitness buff, this class is for you. There is no way to do Nia wrong. If it feels good, keep going and if it doesn't make a change until it does.
Through a series of choreographed kicks, shimmies, steps and stretches you can expect to sweat and smile during each NIa class. The invitation of Nia suggests you take your shoes off and leave your busy mind at the door. The moves are non-impact and safe for the body's joints.
On Sunday, July 13th Regeneration Fitness is offering an introductory Nia Technique class in Little Rock, AR. Participants have an opportunity to learn about and experience this fitness and lifestyle practice under the direction of Julie Wylie, an Austin based 1st degree black belt Nia Teacher and Nia Training Faculty member.
"Nia classes begin with a focused intention and end with the participant feeling recharged and rejuvenated." says Julie Wylie, who will return to facilitate a Nia Technique Teacher Training in the area starting August 2014.
The introductory Nia Workshop scheduled 5:15pm - 6:30pm Sunday, July 13, focuses on the FUNdamentals of Nia including it's history + philosophy and features a Nia Technique Dance class to experience the nine movement forms that inspire Nia's expressive movement.
