Notes About This Event

Would you like to improve your flexibility, agility, and stability while having fun with others and moving creatively to fabulous music?  The Joy of Movement four class series is based on principles of the Nia Technique and is perfect for people of all ages, shapes, and physical abilities.  Gail will show you how to feel alive and joyful in your body through moving organically with movements designed to strengthen your body and your spirit through conscious awareness.
Nia is a sensory-based movement practice that draws from martial arts, dance arts and healing arts. It empowers people by connecting the body, mind, emotions and spirit.  No prior experience is necessary just come to move and have fun…dance like no one is watching with expert guidance!

Joy of Movement Series is four classes from 9 -10 AM, Thursdays Novemenber 8. 15, 29 and December 6, 2012.

Gail Condrick is a member of the Nia Technique International Training Faculty, one of 45 people in the world licensed to teach people to become Nia instructors.  As a trainer and teacher, Gail has studied extensively with the creators of the technique and holds a Black Belt, the highest teacher level, as well as trainer status, the equivalent of a Nia PhD.
Gail discovered Nia in 1996 and it has transformed her body, her life, and her philosophy.  A former government leader and communications executive, Gail retired in 2007 after serving 23 years as the Director of Cable Television and Consumer Protection for Fairfax County government.  Gail has expanded her interest in wellness and is also an Ageless Grace Educator, Reiki Master, and frequent motivational speaker on Active Aging
