Notes About This Event

Calling all Nia Dancers & Friends
April is Parkinson's Awareness Month and We Need YOU!
Join the Nia Flash Mob At the Band Shell in Central Park to kick off the Parkinson's Unity Walk.
Come dance, walk and raise money for a cure for Parkinson's Disease.
Parkinson's disease is a progressive, degenerative neurological disorder. Seven to 10 million people worldwide are estimated to be living with Parkinson's disease. Although promising research is being
conducted, there is currently no cure for Parkinson's, and its cause is unknown.  Approximately 60,000 Americans are diagnosed with Parkinson's disease each year, and this number does not reflect the thousands of cases that go undetected.

Where: The Band Shell in Central Park (Just South of 72nd Street in the middle of Central Park)
