Notes About This Class

Monday Nia with Susan - this is a shorter class of 50-55 mins  to allow students to fit it into a 1 hour lunchbreak, this class is especially suitable for beginners to Nia and has an extra emphasis on mindful movement.

Please arrive as soon after 1pm as you can, especially if you are new.  The actual class starts at 1.05 and will finish around 2pm, however there is an opportunity for a little wind down and chat afterwards until around 2.20.

FREE PARKING is available. From Stirling town centre (traffic lights) as you head up Dunbarton road the first driveway entrance on the right (opposite 'Central Orthodontics) is to an upward drive way winding up above the hall and church - you can park along that driveway - pulled over to the right to allow room for other cars to park and pass.

ENTRANCE TO HALL:  Enter via the big door with 3 steps up to it set into the centre of this building on Dunbarton Road - we are in the main hall - turn right and go along to the end of the hallway.

(Allan Park South Church Hall is on the corner before the Albert Halls concert venue - the lower part is the church hall - the church is built above it (as the whole building is built on a slope).

We are a friendly class in a spacious, yet historic venue - with high windows and lots of light.  The floor can be cold is Autumn and Winter I suggest bringing a rug or mat (spares are available) - chairs also available should you wish to use during the floorplay/winddown part of class.

The class will leave you feeling energised, yet relaxed - ready for whatever the afternoon may bring.

Nia has been described as "sneaky fitness". Just about every part of your body will get a kind-to-the-body workout, almost without you realising it. Move to inspiring music from around the world at a level that suits Your Body. Nia is non-competetive and it's fun! You don't need special clothes or any special equipment - you don't even need shoes! Just wear something comfortable that allows you to move and bring some water. Why not join us? What have you got to lose?

This is what people are saying about Nia classes:

"I love Nia because it's so uplifting. After the class I always feel mantally and physically energised."

"I'm so un-coodinated. I've never been able to dance or do sports, but I LOVE Nia!"

"I was very stiff and conscious of protecting my back and hip after an accident. I am so pleased that I can now attempt the more energetic moves and each week my aches and pains have disappeared. I can climb stairs and nearly reach my toes with ease. A bonus is losing a few pounds. I really feel good about myself."

If you are travelling a distance double check class dates here is this class won't run in some school holiday times:
