My Nia experience began in 1993 when I took my first class at StudioNia in Portland, Or. I practiced Nia as a student until 2000 when I decided to take the White Belt training. By this time I had already had the experience of dramatically changing my body, getting stronger and losing weight through an excercise program that didn't induce my chronic asthma. Compelled by the principles of Nia taught at the White Belt, I chose to becoome a teacher in order to go deeper with what the technique offered. I completed the 4-level belt intensive program in 2009.
Since then, I have taught classes in the Bay Area at multiple facilities, special events like outdoor music festivals and internationally at somatic events.
