Teaching Nia lets me share with people of all athletic levels and body types my passion for this dynamic technique that transforms body and mind . My goal is to transmit to you what I got from my very first Nia class -- a reconnection with moving and music that, in just 55 minutes, turned me from stressed and whining to blissful and free. I focus on facilitating an energy exchange, an alchemy that tunes you into your body's way, engages your mind and emotions, and promotes total body fitness, confidence, and ease through flexibility, agility, mobility, strength and stability.
Before Nia, I soldiered through mind-numbing, repetitive workouts in clunky training shoes, acquiring injuries along the way that needed physical therapy, Before that I danced and performed with Big Moves Dance and studied jazz dance in New York. In addition to Nia, I also enjoy swinging Kettlebells and teaching Sacred Circle Dance at monthly retreats in the Greater Boston area.
Let Nia give you the joy of movment.
