I discovered Nia in 2002 in Sydney - my ex-wife and I were invited to a free class having helped a Nia instructor move house. It wasn't until 2011 after separating from my wife of 20 years that I felt I needed to something in my life that was both creative and movement oriented. I sampled other dance forms until I remembered Nia. I turned up to a Nia Dance Jam and immediately felt a strong connection with both Nia dance and the Nia community - I felt I had arrived home.
Nia has given me immense joy, I love the Nia community, the joy of dancing and the awareness and self-growth that it has gifted me.
I started teaching Nia in 2015 with aim of sharing Nia and the dance fitness with both men and women.
