Nia Dance is my lifeline that shimmies its thread through my heart, mind, body and soul! Nia was recommended to me by a friend who said "Ildika, this dance is so you!" in 2011. Sophie Marsh was my first amazing teacher who inspired me to attain my White and Blue Belts with wonderful Winalee Zeeb, the Nia 5 Stages Training with lovely Laurie Bass, my Brown with the sacred athlete, Ann Christiansen and I hope to reach the pinnacle of Black Belt in the near future!
I have a hobby Nia class at The Old Courthouse in Ipswich Queensland Australia that I facilitate once a week after my librarian job. I have a regular happy tribe who have been attending since 2012! I co-partnered with Vibrant Women Retreats to present a Nia/Yogalates retreat in Fiji in 2015. I just love that you can travel the world and go to a Nia class in many countries. It is a global movement medicine that is administered with love, hope and joy!
