Art of Movement Creativity
Nia FreeDance class and practice focuses on stimulating people’s uniqueness, creativity, and self-expression using movement form and freedom. Through dance and somatic guidance, students learn how to intentionally craft multidimensional, (that is, body-emotion-mind-spirit) creativity.
The Nia FreeDance training is a 2-day training that takes participants on a deep dive into the world of conscious dance exploring Nia somatic movement techniques and principles.
2-Day Training Topics
- Creativity: body-emotion-mind-spirit
- Nia somatic dance expression - form and freedom of conscious dance
- Nia science of consciousness
In order to teach FreeDance, you must be a current Livelihood Member, be a White Belt Intensive graduate and complete the apprentice program. Our FreeDance apprentice program is a self-paced teaching apprenticeship that provides further knowledge and skills to successfully engage people in a conscious dance experience using Nia techniques and principles.
