I believe there is powerful relationship between how we treat our bodies, and how we listen to its needs, and how we respect, listen and respond to the planet's call for care and attention. Saying YES to our bodies magnifies our ability to say YES to the Planet and a joyful and socially just and environmentally sustainable human presence on earth.
Nia provides me tools to step into the world of attentive listening, observation and courage to change. This though takes practice, patience and compassion. As a teacher of Nia, Yoga and the ChiBall Method, I believe that attunement with these life enhancing principles gives support for committed action.
Organisations like Pachamama and Awakening the Dreamer in America, and Be the Change and Transition Towns in Australia give me the bigger framework to continue my love of teaching and offering heart-centered somatic education.
I have a background in community work, the arts and deep interest in creativity, issues of sustainability, personal growth and whole brain integration. I teach Nia, Yoga and have a fond spot for choice, curiosity and courage. I love to take Nia to groups dealing with 'stuff'; environmental sustainability, breast cancer, carers of autistic children, depression, domestic violence.
