I have always loved to move and to dance. When I was a little girl, I started to take ballet classes. I liked ballet a lot. Then I grew much taller than all the other girls and was told that I should choose a sport that is suitable for tall people, ballet is not good for me, I stick out too much. Basically, I was kicked out. It was quite traumatic for me and I spent two days crying.
Since that time on, I have played sports, have been physically active, but I have stayed clear from dancing. I have been always fascinated with the human body and the movement, so I became pilates teacher. I think it was in 2003 when while browsing in one L.A. thrift store I found Nia VHS tape. I bought it and liked it right away. I bought the Nia book and two more VHS tapes. Than I had to move back to Prague and did not even have a chance to attend an actual Nia class.
Finally in 2012 I became a White Belt teacher. Nia means a lot to me - when I dance Nia, I feel that I am celebrating the life itself. :-)
