I first came to Nia with curiosity, searching for a therapeutic class to suit my back condition.
Listening barefoot to the soulful upbeat music, I was dancing my way to health and well being, sensory aware and empowered with yoga and martial arts.
Without judgement or self-consciousness I could connect to myself, others and a wider community, moving freely to a professional well aligned choreography.
My mental acuity has sharpened, my body toned, flexible and strong, healing on every human level.
Social, playful, trusting, safely guided expression through body shapes and dance movement in the body's own natural way upon which I thrive. To me Nia is more than a fun exercise, suitable for all abilities, ages and body types willing to step in and try.
