I’ve always loved dancing and moving to music, but after an early experience of ballet when I was told to leave the room because I was slightly confused as to which foot was my right and which my left, I had shied away from professional classes or trainings. Feeling too intimidated to visit any adult dance classes I restricted myself to dancing around my living room and refusing to leave the dance floor on nights out. Nia, however, seemed different and I resolved to give it a try.
I discovered Nia after a long period of illness and it helped me reconnect with my body in really positive and empowering ways. Nia is fun, uplifting and easy to follow and as well as being a great way to keep fit, it also works on a deeper, more spiritual level. It is truly an holistic art that works with mind, body and spirit. I love dancing Nia and to be able to teach it is a real privilege.
