Nia Brown Belt Teacher
Roma, Lazio, Italy

Since I met Nia, in the spring 2010,  I immediately recognized something I have been always known: the power of body language.

July 2010 I took The White Belt with France Laude Gohard. September 2011 I attended The Blue Belt in Portland,Or with Debbie Rosas and Helen Terry.

At the Blue Belt training I introduced myself by saying..: I am a Medical Doctor...I was a Dancer... I remember a gentle voice saying: "You ARE a Dancer!". The voice was Alison Wright. Thanks Alison! I was still hiding my real and complete identity...Yes I am a Medical Doctor...and a Dancer!.

In July 2012 I attended The 52 Moves Training in Denver, CO with Debbie Rosas and Kevin VerEecke. In May 2013 I attended The Body's Way Training in London with Rachel Rech and Debbie Rosas and The 52 Moves Interval Training with Debbie and Ann Christiansenn.

In August 2014 I attended the  Brown Belt Training in Portland, OR con Debbie Rosas, Caroline Kholes and Winalee Zeeb. This Training is giving me the pleasure of being aware, focused and expanded, present and in contact with others. Thanks for that precious gift.

I took The Nia 5 Stages Training in August 2014, and I will be grateful for life to my Teacher, Carol Gonzales for her passionate teaching!

I studied classical, modern and contemporary dance. For four years I was a member of The Afrodanza Dance Company, founded by Bob Curtis in Rome, Italy in the late 70's early 80's.

I am a Dance for PD Teacher.

I graduated at the Medical School and I specialized in Internal Medicine and Homeopathy. Since 2008 I am a certified Psychotherapist at The Italian School of Ericksonian Psychotherapy and Hypnosis. I have been also trained intermittently at The Milton Erickson Foundation founded and directed by Jeffrey K. Zeig, Ph.D, in Phoenix, AZ.

Being in a therapeutical relationship with a client means connecting with his/her body: postures, gestures, attitudes, eyes movements, non-verbal and para-verbal communication. As musical instruments our bodies attune and communicate instantly.

Intentional Attunement (Gallese, 2006) is neurophysiologically underpinned, that is attuning with others is a physiological process. Working joyfully with our body expandes our sensitivity, flexibility, confidence, pliability, resilience and promote health and attunement with others.

I have been teaching Nia Dance for 4 years and I am integrating my experience as a MD and Dancer to help people to reconnect and attune with their inner dancing Healer.

As a physician and a woman as well, I consider Nia my rebirth into a new life.

Dancing Health, Life and Beauty!
