I first discovered the Nia Technique in 2008. To my delight I found myself leaving every dance class feeling better in my body than when I had arrived and that kept me coming back. I love that Nia’s number one principle is “Joy of Movement”. Nia however is so much more than dance, it is movement medicine. We move to feel, we move to heal. I love how Nia has helped me to condition my body on all levels.
In 2010 I completed the Nia white belt training and began teaching classes in 2011. I became a green belt certified teacher in 2012 and completed my blue belt training in 2013. While I am not currently teaching, I do enjoy implementing Nia principles into my daily life.
