About Me
Tamara (rhymes w/ sara) was first introduced to the bliss of creative movement at a 1990 Grateful Dead concert. The comfort, ease & individuality surrounding Tamara inspired within her the understanding that she too, could allow her body to dance in its own way. This experience of creativity, joy, unity, music & movement opened a profound pathway to continuing personal expression.
Over the years, spiritual discovery, art, natural foods, yoga & aromatherapy created a synergy of well-being practices that became a cornerstone in Tamara's personal development. Yet, she still craved to connect with others through music & dance. Traveling the east coast, she attended music festivals/concerts, sharing her spirit through ecstatic tribal dance. Eventually landing in Asheville, Tamara discovered Nia at the YMCA in 2006. Nia provided her with a new avenue uniting spirit, self & community. A year later she became an instructor teaching 3+ classes a week.
The newest chapter in her journey of self-discovery brought Tamara to Atlanta in 2008. Here she has introduced Nia to kids and adults. Her training as a certified ReUnion Process Facilitator in 2009 has added a new depth of awareness and compassion to her teaching. She is looking forward to connecting with you through movement, breath & bliss.
"We're fools whether we dance or not, so we might as well dance."
